Task Remote ("we", "us", "our") provides an online platform that connects Kenyan users to remote micro-tasks and gigs, paid out via M-Pesa. • Identity & payout information: M-Pesa registered phone number, and where required for verification, national ID details.
• Usage data: tasks completed, earnings history, device type, IP address, browser type, and pages visited.
• Communications: messages you send to support, survey responses, and feedback.

3. How We Use Your Information

We use your information to:

• Create and manage your account and match you with relevant gigs.
• Process and confirm M-Pesa payouts for completed work.
• Verify your identity and prevent fraud or abuse of the Platform.
• Improve our services, troubleshoot issues, and provide customer support.
• Send important updates about your account, earnings, or policy changes.

4. Sharing of Information

We do not sell your personal data. We may share limited information with:

• Payment processors (including Safaricom M-Pesa) to complete payouts.
• Verified partner businesses who post tasks, limited to what is necessary to complete a task.
• Service providers who help us operate the Platform (hosting, analytics, customer support tools), under confidentiality obligations.
• Authorities, where required by Kenyan law or to protect the rights and safety of our users.

5. Data Retention

We retain your personal data for as long as your account is active, and for a reasonable period afterward to comply with legal, tax, and accounting obligations, or to resolve disputes.
